Cathedral of Faith Scholarship Application

2017-2018

Cathedral of Faith grants scholarships to students each year who are pursuing further education through college or a vocational school. We believe in young people and recognize the huge cost that comes with life after high school and our church is committed to investing in our young adults. We encourage undergraduates to submit an application for us to review so that we can award scholarships to those in our community. We have several basic requirements for receiving the scholarship to help provide accountability and a support system throughout the college experience.

This application is to receive a scholarship from Cathedral of Faith for the 2017-2018 Academic Year.

The Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a full-time student during the 2017-2018 academic school year.
  • Applicant must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5
  • Applicant must be at least a one-year member of Cathedral of Faith.
  • Applicant must attend and serve at Cathedral of Faith (or if  away at school, attending and serving at a local church)

Applicant has been accepted to an accredited four-year college/university or two-year community college or trade vocational school for admission beginning in the fall term 2017.

The deadline to submit a COMPLETED application is May 15, 2017.

In the application process, you will be asked some basic questions and will then be asked to provide a few additional documents for us to review.

  1.  A copy of your transcripts.
We want to help hold you accountable to your academic endeavors. If your GPA drops below the 2.5 requirement, you will be placed on a probationary period where we will work with you to provide support to help you succeed. If your GPA is under a 2.5 for back-to-back semesters/quarters, we will revoke the scholarship. We hope never to do this; our heart is to help you through the good times and the struggles, though we feel this is the best way to be responsible with the funds that the members of our church have so graciously donated.

  2. Three letters of recommendation: Pastor, Teacher, Church Member
They will submit letters as a character reference. You may send them this link to fill out the form

*If a hard copy of the form is needed, please request on from Stephanie

  3. A Picture of Yourself

We are grateful to our community that donates so we can provide assistance in your educational endeavors. We believe that God will supply all of your needs and hope that the seeds we plant through the scholarship fund will remind you that there is a large group of people who are partnering with you, are praying for you, and are believing God’s best for you!
