Volunteer Central/Waterwalls

The visitor to the church is the most important person on any given Sunday. Their attendance has been motivated by a friend or a deep need.  They look for warmth, acceptance, and smiles.  When they receive these, they will return. When they return, they will find God. 
The Information Booth volunteers are the receptionists of the church on Sunday.  They are the first individuals to greet a visitor. Knowing that the only thing God will rescue from this planet is people, the Information Booth volunteers fulfill the responsibility of welcoming the visitor into the House of the Lord and perhaps on a path that will lead them into His presence.

Emergency Response Team
Director:  Pastor Dewey Short
The ERT is a ministry of profession health care providers who volunteer their services to respond to medical emergencies at the Cathedral of Faith. Their goal is to respond to medical needs quickly and quietly with appropriate care without disrupting the services.

Greeters
Directors:  Pastor Mike Garcia
At the Cathedral of Faith we’ve places a very high priority upon our greeters ministry because these men and women provide that very important “first impression” to our visitors.  Excellence and professionalism are important.  People will be drawn to a church where warmth and concern for their needs is offered.  Our goal is to reach people for Jesus Christ.  That is why we implement these important qualities in this ministry.

Communion

Preparation of the elements used in communion service.

Counseling
Directors:  Cathedral of Faith Pastoral Staff 
Biblically Based spiritual counseling provided by the Pastoral Staff by Appointment.

Care Giving
Directors: Cathedral of Faith Pastoral staff
Caregivers serve one day or one-half day a week to assist the pastors in providing spiritual guidance to those in need either by telephone or in person.  Caregivers pray for individuals and, if necessary, refer them to appropriate counseling resources or other community services. They must have had successful involvement in other ministries and Pastoral references; must have compassion, empathy and a heart to helppeople, must be committed to ministry; and must be spiritually mature and well grounded in the Word of God. Caregivers will be trained and equipped to serve.

Ushers
Director:  Drew McDaniel / Pastor Dewey Short
Ushers...the first person a visitor meets when he/she attend church is an Usher.  Therefore, ushering is one of the most important ministries in the church.  The church could not function without these dedicated men and women fulfilling their ministry to the body of Christ.  We want our ushers to carry out their responsibilities in a warm and friendly manner and to assist the pastor in any way necessary to enhance the flow of the spirit. 

Water Baptism

An opportunity for Christians to publicly affirm their faith in Christ through water baptism.

Weddings

Wedding Requirements
• Regular attendance at Cathedral of Faith
• Attend the “Marriage For All Seasons” Pre-Marital Seminar (call the office for next scheduled date)
• Meet with the Cathedral of Faith minister performing your ceremony.

Deanna Ortiz will assist you in securing the facilities for your wedding.
