||
We serve the youth of Cathedral of Faith between
the 7th & 12th grades. We are looking for adults & youth that want
to be a part of our team. Here are some service opportunities:
Sunday Morning Youth Services: We meet every Sunday morning
in the FLC gym at 10:00 & 11:30am for an incredible dynamic youth experience. Students
experience a fun Spirit filled day with games, activities, music, dramas &
dance, multi-media, funny videos, awesome worship and powerful messages. This
is a definite must for every young person to experience.
Wednesday Night Small Groups: This is a vital part of our
youth ministry. We meet in the Horton Youth Center every Wednesday night at 7:30pm for small group bible studies. Adult volunteers help as facilitators of the groups. We have a man & women adult
leader in every group. Great place for youth to connect and grow in God.
Adult Leadership: A team of Adults that are committed to
serving the youth ministry. They have different areas of responsibility and
we all meet together at least once a month for a staff meeting. They are the
role models and influencers to the young people.
Youth Leadership: This is our discipleship program to develop
young men & women to become all that God created them to be. It is made
up of youth that have applied and have been hand picked by the Pastoral staff.
We consider them to be the “Crème of the Crop.” They serve
in different ministry roles assigned to them and are committed to a monthly
meeting as well.
Activity Director: This ministry is lead by the director
and other young people that are responsible for coming up with weekly games,
icebreakers, prizes, crazy things that young people will love to do and participate
in for all our youth events.
Drama team: This ministry serves the youth through dramas,
skits, & human videos. They perform monthly and practice weekly to bring
a dynamic ingredient to our Youth service.
Dance team: (See
Video)This ministry uses urban style dance as a form of worship to minister
to God and the youth. Their focus is to inspire youth to use the gifts God
has given them for His glory.
Signing team (Dunamis): This ministry uses sign language & music
to worship God & minister to the youth. They will also minister for the
hearing impaired upon request. Their focus is to bring inspiration.
The Girls Ministry: This ministry ministers to all the young
women in the youth ministry. Their purpose is to raise up women of character,
integrity, purity, purpose, & passion. They meet once a month for bible
studies and fun activities.
The Guys Ministry: This ministry ministers to all the young
men in the youth ministry. Their purpose is to raise up men of character,
integrity, purity, purpose, & passion. They meet once a month for bible
studies and fun activities.
Follow Up Team (The Net): This ministry helps us care for
our young people through making phone calls every Tuesday night. They follow
up on all our new believer’s, 1st time visitors, and youth in our ministry.
Fundraising Coordinator: This person works with the pastoral
staff to help organize and plan all our fundraiser activities.
Hospitality team: This ministry is on the frontlines of making
all our first time guests & youth feel loved, cared for and welcomed into
our ministry. It encompasses our greeters, ushers, & registration table
workers.
Multi-Media team: This ministry develops our power point,
graphics, posters, flyers, and video presentations within our ministry.
Tech Team: This ministry helps set-up & tear down all
our sound, lighting and multi-media equipment. As well as running sound for
our ministry events.
Prayer team: This ministry paves the way for us in the spirit
realm by praying before every ministry event. They are our intercessors &
they also work as our altar ministers.
Worship Team: This ministry is responsible for all of our
worship in any youth event. They help bring young people into the presence
of God. They develop young people’s musical gifts to be used in worship.
GENERAL INFO ABOUT GETTING INVOLVED
Meeting days: Wednesdays 6:30-9:30 & Sundays 10:30-1:30
Time commitments: Weekly: 3 hours on Wednesdays and/or 3
hours on Sunday; Monthly: a 2hr monthly meeting and other ministry events
(ex. camps, activities, etc); Yearly: 1 year from September to end of August
(unless special arrangement w/Pastor)
Personality: Must have a heart for youth and to serve; different
personality types & gifts are welcomed;
Process: Must have an interview with Pastor & susceptible
to a background check
Location: Horton Youth Center on Wednesday; FLC Gym on Sunday
