COMMUNITY

University Preparatory Academy (UPA) is a charter school with a current enrollment of 560 students from grades 7 through 12. Leaders of the church noticed a need in the community to provide a better education for our students so a plan was created in coordination with the county and University Preparatory Academy was born.

UPA offers a very rigorous curriculum including UC-a-g courses and advanced placement courses. Students graduating from UPA are qualified to enroll and succeed in the finest colleges and universities in our country. This is the mission that governs all our activities and decisions at UPA. UPA feature a Math, Engineering, Bio-Med, and Science program, titled "Project Lead the Way" yet all students are required to take and pass courses in the arts.

UPA is located in San Jose and is housed in an excellent state-of-the-art facility with well-equipped classrooms, science labs, and facilities for the arts, such as a dance studio and performing arts center.

Students, parents and staff work as a team to ensure the academic achievement of our students. UPA has achieved one of the highest API scores and rankings in the state. In addition, the staff and student work together to ensure a very safe environment for students to learn.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TOY GIVEAWAY

Our Gilroy community has many needs. At Christmas time we especially love to serve our migrant worker’s children by blessing them with “Christmas.” We raise money to buy toys, and share them with kids who wouldn’t have a Christmas without them.

THROUGH THE ROOF RESPITE NIGHT

Quarterly, in cooperation with The City of Gilroy Recreation Department, we hold a Respite Night for families of Children and Adults with Special Needs. Our next one is March 23, 2018 6:30pm-9:30pm Gilroy Senior Center 7371 Hannah St.

From the minute you step onto our campus you feel the love and a sense of family, thanks to this dedicated team. Serving coffee, serving snacks, serving smiles. There’s a place for you.

GREETERS/USHERS

Cathedral of Faith Gilroy is a place where everyone is welcome and this team has the opportunity to live out this core value as they serve our church family. Being part of this team gives you a chance to connect with others and help them connect with God.

WORSHIP

Welcoming the work of God among us each time we gather is a priority. Our worship team has excellence in their musical and vocal leadership, and also in their acknowledgement and leading into the presence of God.

PRAYER

We have been gifted with some powerful prayer leaders who pray for our campus family and their needs at each weekend service as well as throughout the week. Let us know how we can be praying for you, and let us know if you would like to be praying with us.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

One of the priorities of Jesus was declared when He said, “Bring the children to me.” Our Kidz ministry is dedicated to loving, leading, and discipling kids to be like Jesus. Partner with us to engage the next generation of fully devoted followers of Christ, (background check required.)

YOUTH MINISTRY

Helping Middle School and High School students get plugged in and pursue God together is a priority for us. Bible studies, fun activities, relationship building, and serving accomplish this with leaders whose heart for God and the youth bring it all together.

TECH TEAM

This team uses their gifts to facilitate worship and the Word through their attention to detail. We would love to train you to help every “hear” and “see” what God is doing.

SET UP / TEAR DOWN TEAM

Serving is at the heart of every ministry especially this group who make our worship space ready each weekend and then reset it for the next school week. Come early, stay late, make friends, make a difference.

THROUGH THE ROOF SPECIAL NEEDS

Every Sunday, starting on April 15, @ 10am, we have a class for those with Special Needs. All ages are welcome. All levels of volunteers are welcome.

Joining with other women for support and encouragement can be life-giving. Here you’ll find a group of friendship to walk with you on your journey.

MEN'S MINISTRY

Becoming a man of God happens as men connect for fellowship and discipleship. Join us for our life group gathering to strengthen each other in our faith.

This team prepares people for a positive worship experience by welcoming and assisting them to a seat, facilitating the offering and maintaining a distraction-free environment.

HOMELESS MINISTRY

This team focuses on bringing God’s love to our homeless communities.

OUTREACH AND EVENTS TEAM

Church-wide events are creatively planned and energetically hosted by this team who places priority on valuing people and serving with excellence.

HOST TEAM

This friendly team loves people and makes them feel at home. They welcome guests with a smile, encouragement and personal touch so that hearts are open to the Gospel message.

GROWTH TRACK TEAM

As the official hosts of our Growth Track, this team greets guests as well as provides materials and assistance throughout our four classes.

COFESJ KIDZ

This team creates an environment where children are consistently exposed to the real love of Jesus.  They intentionally invest in the lives of our children through worship, videos, skits, small groups, greeting, games and more.

KIDZ CHECK-IN

This team welcomes families as they arrive at our COFESJ Kidz areas and facilitates the check-in process that ensures children are cared for effectively and efficiently.

BLESSED SIDE WORSHIP TEAM

Through vocals, instruments, or audio engineering, this dynamic team prepares the way for our guests to encounter the presence of the living God.

TECHNICAL PRODUCTION

Bring your creativity and tech savvy to this team that reaches thousands by delivering the Word and worship through camera, lighting, and other visual elements.

CONNECT CENTER

This team connects guests to the Church community, providing resources and information on all of our current events, ministry opportunities and services.

SETUP / TAKEDOWN TEAM

This team helps create the environment for our worship experience by setting up before service and taking down after service.

CONNECT GROUP LEADERSHIP

We believe that real life change takes place in the context of relationships. As a Connect Group Leader, you have the greatest opportunity to connect with others, fulfill your passions, develop your gifts and live out the Great Commission.

Cathedral of Faith is where the love is lived out. A place where you can find that no-strings-attached service the Bible talks about. Love without any gimmicks. It’s real.

Cathedral of Faith serves the city of Milpitas in a variety of ways. Cathedral of Faith has also adopted the Selwyn Park area as a part of the city of Milpitas’ Adopt-A-Neighborhood program.

CITY

Milpitas is nicknamed the “crossroads of the Silicon Valley” because it is a busy, exciting, crossroads (680/237/880) community. There are more than 70,000 residents but during the day it’s population doubles as people come to work and shop in Milpitas.

Life Groups

Life groups are about sharing life together and helping each other grow in their faith. In a life group you can take a break from the busy demands of everyday life and invest in what is really important: your relationship with God and the people around you.
