Corwin and Kim Anthony

Corwin and Kim have spent over 20 years building into the marriages of pro athletes and their spouses. They met at UCLA, where he was a football standout who played briefly in the NFL. She was an international champion and UCLA Hall of Fame gymnast.

Corwin is the Chief Ambassador Officer for Athletes in Action, Executive Director of the SuperBowlBreakfast.com and has also served as an NFL Chaplain and Director of AIA’s NFL Pro Ministry.

Kim is a keynote speaker for corporate and faith-based events. She is also the podcast host of Resilience to Brilliance, a leadership coach, and a consultant with a passion to help others overcome life’s challenges. Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott

A husband-and-wife team who not only share the same name, but the same passion for helping others build healthy relationships. Married in 1984, the Parrotts bring real-life examples to their speaking platform. Their professional training – Leslie as a marriage and family therapist, and Les as a clinical psychologist – ensures a presentation that is grounded, insightful and cutting-edge. Andrew Stanley

Growing up as a homeschooled preacher’s kid, it was unlikely that Andrew Stanley would ever find love, become a comedian, or contribute to society in a meaningful way. Two out of three is not too bad! Now a husband, father, and fast-rising stand-up comedian, Andrew has been performing all over the country since 2016. His unique perspective pairs well with his dry delivery and observational nature. Andrew can be heard regularly on Sirius XM radio, he was selected as a New Face of Comedy at Montreal’s prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and he appeared on Nate Bargatze’s “The Showcase” on Nateland in 2023. Andrew’s parents are still alive so he works clean.

CAN MY CHILDREN ATTEND THE CONFERENCE WITH ME?

Since this is a Marriage Conference, some of the topics discussed may be inappropriate for children. If you have older teenagers who are dating, the topics may be more suitable for them and you may purchase a ticket for them to attend with you.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The purpose of dedication is to allow Christian parents to make a formal commitment before family, congregation, and God that they choose to raise their children in a Christian home.

The requirements to dedicate your child are:

The child is under the age of 6
You are a Christian parent
You have attended a Cathedral of Faith weekend service
Your child has attended a COF Kidz nursery or Sunday school class
Parents must attended a Baby Dedication Class

How do I make arrangements to dedicate my child?

Submit your name and email address towards the top of the page in order to receive more information on baby dedication and how to register for a class. This is the first step in our registration process.

Who do we dedicate?

Children-Birth through 5 years old

How much does it cost to dedicate a child?

$30. This includes: a digital download of your child's dedication, a children’s Bible, a special photo of your child taken during his/her dedication, and a parenting message from Pastor Ken. (This is also what holds your child's spot as dedication spots are limited). The $30 covers the first child; each additional sibling is $10 there after.

Why don’t we baptize?

We believe baptism is a choice to follow Jesus and must be made by the person being baptized. Very young children do not yet make life choices.

Why dedicate a child?

It is an opportunity for Christian parents to bring their young children before God and commit themselves to providing a Christian home and training for these children so that when they are mature enough to make decisions they will choose God and salvation through Jesus. It is actually a parents’ commitment to God, understanding their responsibility to their children before God.

When do we dedicate children?

We dedicate children several times a year after the second service. Families need to register online for a dedication class and date in order to participate.

Can we have others accompany us on stage?

We allow up to a max of 4 additional adults to accompany you on stage during your child's dedication. These 4 people are not required but may be Grandparents, Godparents, and/or other family or close friends. Please note, children under the age of 12 cannot be one of the additional 4 people on stage.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TOY GIVEAWAY

Our Gilroy community has many needs. At Christmas time we especially love to serve our migrant worker’s children by blessing them with “Christmas.” We raise money to buy toys, and share them with kids who wouldn’t have a Christmas without them.

THROUGH THE ROOF RESPITE NIGHT

Quarterly, in cooperation with The City of Gilroy Recreation Department, we hold a Respite Night for families of Children and Adults with Special Needs. Our next one is March 23, 2018 6:30pm-9:30pm Gilroy Senior Center 7371 Hannah St.

Cathedral of Faith serves the city of Milpitas in a variety of ways. Cathedral of Faith has also adopted the Selwyn Park area as a part of the city of Milpitas’ Adopt-A-Neighborhood program.

CITY

Milpitas is nicknamed the “crossroads of the Silicon Valley” because it is a busy, exciting, crossroads (680/237/880) community. There are more than 70,000 residents but during the day it’s population doubles as people come to work and shop in Milpitas.

Our mission is to show God's love by serving the city of Milpitas, worshipping together, and making disciples.

Life Groups

Life groups are about sharing life together and helping each other grow in their faith. In a life group you can take a break from the busy demands of everyday life and invest in what is really important: your relationship with God and the people around you. MORGAN HILL OUTREACHES

I LOVE MORGAN HILL

This ministry shares the love of Jesus Christ during our quarterly “come dine on us” dinners. We serve over 500 people during each event. We partner with Martha’s Kitchen, Shirley’s Closet, St. Vincent De Paul and other organizations to help feed anyone in need.

SHIRLEY'S CLOSET

We collect and distribute gently used clothing for children & adults, to anyone who is in need of a jacket, scarf, pants, shoes, etc. We reach out to the community every quarter to spread some genuine love and compassion to those in need. At each event we will focus on a specialty item such as back to school supplies, toys at Christmas, jackets in winter, etc.

REACHING OUT- MORGAN HILL

We are partnering with Second Harvest Food to offer 160 families approximately 140 pounds of food given out every 2^nd Tuesday of each month. You must qualify with Second Harvest to obtain food from this pantry.

TASTE OF MORGAN HILL

Each year we participate with a booth at Taste of Morgan Hill. Our evangelism team is very creative in loving the city of Morgan Hill. It’s a great time to share the love of Jesus with your neighbor.

MUSHROOM MARDI GRAS

Each year we participate with a booth at Mushroom Mardi Gras. It’s a time to spend with your family and friends and share the love of Jesus with everyone.

BAGEL HIGH SCHOOL OUTREACH

Free Bagels to High School Student’s - This ministry helps each high school Christian Club share God’s love through giving out free bagels and donuts.

MORGAN HILL MINISTRIES

YOUTH MINISTRY

God has a destiny for you! Whether you’re in JR High or High School we believe you will be encouraged and strengthened to find your purpose as a young person. Our youth group is on fire for God and believes everyone has a gift to offer to the Lord. You will have great times learning about God, fellowshipping with other young people, and most of all gaining new friendships!

PRAYER

Come pray with us! Every Sunday Morning at 9:00 a.m. we spend time learning about prayer and seeking God for all the prayer needs.

MUSIC MINISTRY

We are always looking for new musicians and singers to find their place on our team. We are a ministry who loves seeking God through music. Come and take part in this ministry.

TECH MINISTRY

We can always use a few extra hands in the Tech Department. Every day we learn something new with Technology. If you love to learn, then we need you!

SOUND MINISTRY/ SET UP

Are you an early riser? Sunday Mornings our team prepares the sanctuary, setting up for our church service. Come and join our team. It’s always a special time when you know you are preparing God’s house for worship.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Ladies, it’s always a joy to know we can meet and fellowship. Our women’s ministry puts on several classes and events year long. Come and join women who love the Lord, and love to serve.

MEN'S MINISTRY

Men, we know life can be hectic, so you need some time to regroup with other men. Our men’s ministry is always looking for ways so men can grow on their journey. Come and join one of our classes or events.

HOSPITALITY

Every service we share the Love with great hospitality. Whether, it’s a cup of coffee, or some pastries. We are always looking for new volunteers to get involved.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Children are precious in HIS sight. Our ministry is always in need of volunteers who absolutely love, love, love children. If God has given you a gift that can help our children’s ministry, please contact us and we will give you more information.

LIFE GROUPS

To study the bible is our desire. Come and take some time out of your day and come to our home study group. This study group is an exciting time to learn more about Jesus.

SPORTS MINISTRY

We are always looking for men or women who would love to get involved in our sports ministry. Each season brings new ways to stay active and share the love of Jesus Christ.

USHER MINISTRY

“To be a door keeper in the house of the Lord”, are you ready to serve? We are looking for men or women who would absolutely love to serve in this capacity.

REACHING OUT- MORGAN HILL

Every 2nd Tuesday of the month, alongside the Second Harvest Food Bank, this ministry serves the community as a monthly food pantry. This program feeds families with children under the age of 18. Currently we serve 160 families per month. We are always looking for volunteers.

SHIRLEY'S CLOSET

Every quarter, Shirley’s closet gives out free clothes to those who are in need. We join the “I Love Morgan Hill” group and together we partner in loving our community with food and clothing.

I LOVE MORGAN HILL

Our events need lots of volunteers. This ministry has quarterly events which feed the community. We partner along with Martha’s Kitchen and several organizations to meet the need of our community.

NEW BEGINNINGS

Every Sunday Morning we have our new beginnings classes. Come and learn what the bible has to say to us. Evangelism Our ministry is always engaging in the community. We love our community and we will find creative ways to let everyone know “we love them and so does Jesus.”

MARRIAGE MINISTRY

PARENT RESOURCES

I think all of us would like our kids to love Jesus, be happy, be good people, and follow their dreams. That’s entirely a possible outcome. But when we don’t long for our kids first and foremost to know and love Jesus by prioritizing the nature of our parenting then our kid’s spiritual development simply will not be what it could have been. What a huge loss that would be!

Let Matthew 16:26, be a reminder that absolutely nothing matters more than helping our kids know and love Jesus. Because when they have Jesus, they have everything.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Helping Your Child Grow Spiritually
- Parents have a divine call to raise their children up to know God. The world recognizes parents' responsibility for the upbringing of their children in many areas including their material and emotional needs. Within churches it is widely acknowledged that parents are also called to meet their children's spiritual needs. According to a survey by Fuller Theological Seminary, around 90% of Christian parents believe that they have the primary responsibility to help their children grow spiritually. However, the same survey discovered that only 10% of the parents do anything more than taking their children to the church. Our children need more than that.

Lead by Example
- Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 11:1, "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ." So, the first step in the discipleship of our children is to ensure that we are as close to the Lord and as full of Christian character as we can be. We need to work on our character flaws, grow in love and knowledge of God. As we grow, our children will too.

Read the Bible and Pray with Your Children
- As parents, we should seek to pray and read the Bible with our young children every day. If our children experience meeting with God with us, and watch us seeking God on our own, then they will learn to do the same as they grow.

Pray for Your Children
- God has given us our children to shape in prayer. As our children grow and develop there will be times when they need our prayers to bring them through difficult times, to shape their character, or simply to fan into flame their love of God. Wise parents spend time on their knees for their children.

Family Time
- Many families choose to have a time each week, or even each day, when they worship God together and share a word. This can be a great forum to bring God central in the home and also give opportunity for your children to exercise their gifts of intercession, prophecy and teaching.

The Role of the Church
- Beyond the parents, and those called specifically to children's ministry, the whole church has a responsibility to see its children grow in the way of the Lord (much as the whole church is called to reach out to the lost and minister to the poor). Allow your children to be a part of church life and they will grow in God as they mix with other believers. Proverbs 22:6 instructs us to "Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it." This is our mandate from God, let's raise up a generation that will make a difference in God's kingdom.

BAPTISM

Baptism Dates:

Check out the events section for details on upcoming baptism dates.

Requirements:

Child must be in Kinder through 5^th grade and attend the COF Kids Sunday Morning and/or Wednesday Night Classes.
Child must have made a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ and understand what it means to be baptized.
Child must attend one of the Baptism Classes held on Sunday or Wednesday during the previous weeks prior to their baptism.

Is your child ready to be Baptized?
Here are Questions to Ask Your Child:

What is water baptism? Read Romans 6:4.
- Baptism is a sign or symbol to show others that you are a follower of Jesus. It shows that your old life of sin has died and is buried with Jesus as you go under the water, and that you have been risen to a new life in Jesus as you come up out of the water.

Who should be baptized? Read Acts 2:38.
- Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Son of God, and has become a follower of Jesus Christ.

Is there anything special about the water? Does it make us saved? Read 1 John 1:9.
- No. If we ask Jesus to be our Savior and believe He is the Lord of our life, then we are saved. Water baptism is an outward symbol of our decision.

What does it personally mean to you to be baptized?

How do I sign up?

To sign up for Children’s Baptism, please call Pastor Jesalyn at (408)979-3023 or sign up during one of the Baptism Classes.

What does my child need to wear/bring?

Please bring your child ready, wearing a dark shirt and shorts. And remember to bring a towel and a dry change of clothes as well.

UPWARD BASKETBALL AND CHEER

Upward Basketball is a God-designed, kid-centered basketball league for boys and girls, grades 1 - 6. It emphasizes becoming Christ-like, learning good sportsmanship and respect for authority, not championship and trophies. Every child is a winner, regardless of what takes place on the court! Our league seeks to develop character in every player by providing an equal opportunity for improvement, while stressing sportsmanship in every situation.

As an Upward Basketball player you will enjoy:

Practices

Practices are one day a week on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Grades 1 & 2 could be at 5:00pm or 6:00pm. Grades 3 & 4 are at 7:00pm and 5 & 6 grades are at 8:00pm. Specific practice days for each team to be determined.

WEDDINGS

We are so excited for those pursuing marriage and a lifelong covenant between each other and God. We offer wedding services in our chapel throughout the week as available. Due to the high usage of our campus, we are not able to perform weddings in other venues around our campus. We have two basic requirements for those who want to get married at Cathedral of Faith:

You need to be a member of Cathedral of Faith
You need to attend our Pre-Marital Class.

The pre-marital class is offered quarterly, so for information about our next class, cost, and the wedding application, email Christina Ybarra.

*We are often asked if Pastor Ken can perform weddings; however, due to his weekend schedule, he is unavailable to perform weddings.
