Scripture: Proverbs 12:27
Sam Canchola

Scripture:
“Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch, but the diligent make use of everything they find.”

Observation:
Don’t waste your resources. The Proverb considers those who do not finish what they start as ‘lazy.’ Yikes! Sometimes, the skilled, yet lazy, hunters don’t put in the last effort to cook their catch. Yet for the diligent, hungry people, they spare no resources. The diligent use everything God has given them. I’m reminded by the parable of the talents – “To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.” Matthew‬ ‭25:29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Application:
Whether it’s with finances, gifts and abilities, or with time management, I need to make sure I am not wasting what God’s provided. It’s so easy to procrastinate. But by applying this verse to my life, I’ll be more aware and intentional in my day to day life.

Prayer:
God thank you for being my source for all things. Bring full awareness to the resources you’ve blessed me with and the urgency to put them to use.
Amen.
