Scripture: Proverbs 19:21
Pastor Jeremy Roberts

Scripture:
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

Observation:
As leaders, pastors, and directors we plan and prepare. We expect everything to come to fruition in a way that makes sense
to us. When it doesn’t play out the way we would like it to, we immediately get discouraged. In those times, we have to remember that it is God’s purpose that prevails in the end.

Application:
I personally struggle with this because I am a natural planner. I have to remember that God’s ways aren’t my ways, and that God’s thought process is much different than mine. God can use interruptions, failures, and trials in my life for His purposes. Even though it’s not how I would have done something, I have to trust that God is a better planner than me.

Prayer:
God, thank you that you know all things. Help me to rely on you in all things. Continue to reveal what your plans are for my life, family, and ministry. In Jesus’ name amen.
