Scripture: Proverbs 9:8-9
Pastor Ann Scherer

Scripture:
Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.

Observation:
Sharing the benefits of wisdom isn’t always received well. Correcting someone’s poor behavior can start an argument. They justify themselves and reject your advice. You may share an experience you’ve had in pursuing the pleasures of the world for instance, and offer words of wisdom. However that wisdom will not be received by a Mocker, instead, it is rejected with poor behavior, arrogance, and cynicism. Don’t waste your time, you cannot change a mocker or foolish persons behavior. There are people who are seeking wisdom; this time is well spent.

Application:
God has given me wisdom in many areas of my life to share with others. I’ve learned to STOP wasting my time trying correct others with wisdom, INSTEAD, I pray fervently that God will open their heart and mind to receive wisdom. I have turned my attention to the Lost Ones who care about life and seeking wisdom to help them grow wiser. I am seeking and listening to godly wisdom to correct me as well.

Prayer:
God, wisdom is seeing things the way You see things, please help your daughter to be wise, teach me to receive godly wisdom, direct me to the Lost Ones who want to receive Your wisdom, Help me to help others to become wiser.
