Our desire is to grow through life together as we all pursue God’s destiny and purpose on our lives. We believe that every person was placed on this earth for a reason, and as young adults God has wired us to be insanely creative, passionate, and motivated when it comes to pursuing life. We want to help you discover your God-given identity as we all pursue a life of trusting in God more. Join us on the journey.

Anchor Service: Sundays at 5 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room

Sam Canchola | Young Adults Director

Sam Canchola is the Young Adults Director at Cathedral of Faith. He loves being able to lead in ministry alongside his wife, Azlyn. He was born in East San Jose and raised in Willow Glen, and has been a member of Cathedral of Faith since his Father started bringing him in 1993. He graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Advertising, and began his first vocation in Digital Media. He continues this practice as a Channel & Content Strategist at Electronic Arts, EA Inc. Between his corporate experience in Silicon Valley and his social experience in college, his hope is to be used by God the revival of his hometown. He discovered his passion to serve when he became an Adult Leader in the Youth Ministry, and his love for students grew into a burden for the Young Adult group. He loves spending time with his wife and friends, traveling, and exploring the world of photography.

Azlyn Canchola | Young Adults Director

Azlyn Canchola is one of the Director’s for the Young Adults Ministry. She loves planning all of our events, training up our leaders, and heading up our TRIBE Women’s ministry. She has studied Education and Visual Arts at Azusa Pacific University, as well as continuing her education currently at Foothill College studying Psychology, and at Northern California Bible College. Along with leading our Young Adult’s Ministry, Azlyn is also a director in Cathedral’s Youth Ministry. She has loved starting this ministry with Sam and developing our leadership team from the ground up. When she isn’t leading one of our many services or Bible studies, she loves spending time with her husband, discovering the world, and Disneyland… always Disneyland.

Sunday night is the “anchor” to the Young Adults ministry. We find it so powerful to set aside time each week to gather together and worship and dive into the word of God together. We meet on Sunday nights in the Multipurpose Room at 5 pm to worship, grow, and celebrate each other. Afterward, we usually find somewhere for a late night snack and a hangout. Don’t miss out!

Connect groups are groups of people that regularly meet up, talking about life, God, the Bible, and simply: live life together. Our hope with Connect Groups is that you begin to develop lasting and meaningful relationships.
LADIES Connect:
Every other week, the Ladies of YA meet to dive deeper into relationships with one another.
